Spam by Fax
Is your fax machine getting loaded up with all those special offers that you didn't ask for or you could care less about?
You've supplied the do-not-call list run by the Feds with all your phone numbers and you are still getting hammered.
Let's turn the tables on these people and make it too expensive for them to use our paper and ink for their advertising.
Below you will find a notice paper to fax to these people and put your page right behind it. If an operator picks up the phone and hears the fax tone, they hang up on you. Hit the stop button, redial button, and start if you are using a regular fax machine. Do this 5 to 10 times in a row, while you are having your coffee. Realize that each time they pick up the phone it costs them money even if it's a penny or two per call.
If we get a couple of hundred like minded people doing this, it will become too expensive for these people to do business like this along with any other problems it may cause for them.
You may think this sounds childish, but think about what they are doing to you. They are using your fax machine, your paper, and a whole lot of your expensive ink for them to advertise to you. You have already called the Federal phone number to have your name put on a do-not-call list which they are ignoring.
Another thing to do is when you find a fax number that actually accepts a fax, put 2 to 6 pages of other useless faxes you have already received and fax it along with their fax and your notice cover letter. This keeps their line open for several minutes which has to keep costing them.

Don't worry if you hear a voice - The longer you keep them on, the more it costs them. After 5 or 6 times. that's a satisfying sound of exasperation you will start hearing.
I have noticed myself that as I do this to these advertisers, I am starting to get less and less faxes. Hopefully they are making up a son of a bitch list and making it available to the other sharks to try to keep their costs down.
They have a new one, they hold the line open so your fax will timeout. That's OK !! The longer the line is open, the more it costs them. They are generally billed in 5 second increments so its costing them whether they're getting a fax or not. At least they will pay for the ink stolen from you.
